Celebrating 15 years of Portsmouth Freelancers Meet

Collection of photos from over the years showing people having fun at PFMeet

In 2010, I put a tweet out into the world, hoping a few people might join me for a drink at The Wine Vaults in Portsmouth. Four people turned up.

Fast forward 15 years (and over 145 meetups later) and Portsmouth Freelancers Meet is still going strong. Month after month, we’ve gathered for casual chats, pints, seasonal parties, and one-off nights like board games or retro gaming. Along the way, it’s become a place where ideas, collaborations, and friendships are formed. And for me personally, it’s been a huge source of inspiration, community, and professional opportunities.

On the PFMeet blog, I’ve looked back at the early days, shared stories from long-time regulars, and revealed what’s next for the group – from themed nights to icebreaker cards and new ways to connect.
