This project started in mid-2013 and launched in 2014. In May 2016, we were approached again by Metrotile to redesign the entire site to fit in with their new branding, slogan and television advertisement.
The main challenge we faced was designing the architecture of of the site and how to present the sheer amount of information. Getting the hierarchy of information right was so important, especially with an already established 15k visitors per month.
We spent 7 weeks developing the architecture of the site, and then a following 2 months to develop the site. We then worked closely with the marketing team to tweak the site over the following months as content was input, to ensure the site was working well for everyone involved.
Adding a Knowledgebase
One of the things we did was split the technical information, downloads, installation guides and FAQ’s into a comprehensive knowledgebase which sits on a sub-domain.
The website has only been live since January 2018 so we are still monitoring it’s progress and look forward to seeing the results of ours and Metrotile’s collective hard work.
